An exhibition honouring her is showing at the Dowse Art Museum. Doreen Blumhardt: Jet-Powered Meteor features some of Dame Doreen’s own pots and a selection of works from her personal ceramics collection.

Dame Doreen was known for her generosity, energy and vigour and was described by her colleagues as a ‘jet-powered meteor’. The exhibition highlights some of her key relationships by displaying works by close friends and mentors, including Shōji Hamada, Peter Stichbury and Helen Mason.
